Eigentlich sollte es schon Mitte 2009 kommen, doch erst jetzt ist das ION Mobii von Point of View auch in Deutschland erhältlich. Das ION Mobii hat einen Intel Atom 230 Prozessor mit 64 Bit Fähigkeit (Single Core, 2x SMT, 1,6 GHz) und einen NVIDIA Ion Chipsatz. Abgesehen vom HDMI Ausgang und dem matten Display, was vergleichsweise lichtstark sein soll, ist die Ausstattung ansonsten identisch mit den üblichen 10,2" Netbooks. Leider gibt es das Gerät nur mit 1024 * 600 Display, obwohl der Ion IGP problemlos 720p HD Videos abspielen kann und die Akkulaufzeit liegt unter 4 Stunden.
Zu haben ist es ab 300 € bei verschiedenen Händlern.

Die Belinea o.book Serie ist zwar schon seit einiger Zeit erhätlich, jedoch findet man sie recht schwer. Die o.book der 13000 Serie haben alle einen glänzenden 13,3" TFT Display, WLAN nach 802.11 b/g Standard und bei vielen kleinen Notebooks eher selten zu findenen ExpressCard 34 Slot und HDMI, neben den sonst üblichen Anschlüssen. Unterschiedlich ist jeweils der Prozessor und die Größe von Arbeitsspeicher und Festplatte.
Das o.book 13011 hat einen Intel Celeron M ULV 743 (Single Core, 1 MiB L2 Cache, 1,3 GHz, 400 MHz DDR-FSB), 1 GiB RAM und 160 GB Festplatte und ist z.B. bei keware.de für rund 410 € erhältlich.
Das o.book 13014 hat einen Intel Pentium SU2400 Dual Core Prozessor mit 1,3 GHz, 2 GiB RAM und 360 GB Festplatte und kostet nur etwas mehr, rund 435 € bei CSL-Computer.
Bei beiden Modellen ist jeweils Ubuntu Linux installiert.
Die Brunen IT, der die Marke Belinea gehört, verkauft einige Modelle auch im eigenen One.de Versandhandel unter der One Marke. Dazu gehören das One Notebook S1310 [7995] mit Intel Celeron 743 ULV Prozessor für 305 € (inkl. Versandkosten), das One Notebook S1320 [7835] mit Intel Celeron SU2300 Prozessor für 379 € und das One Notebook S1340 [7994] mit Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 ULV Prozessor für 459 €.

Auch bei Komplett-Computern und Netbooks/Notebooks kann jeder kleine Aufrüstungen selber vornehmen und muss das Gerät nicht extra zum teuren Service bringen. Beispielhaft möchte ich hier zeigen, wie man den Speicher im ASUS Eee PC 1000H ganz einfach aus- und einbauen kann. Die Anleitung ist auch auf viele andere Netbooks und Notebooks übertragbar und der Austausch unterscheidet sich meistens nur dadurch, wie man das Gehäuse konkret öffnet.

Für meinen EeePC habe ich ein 2 GiB Modul von Corsair gewählt. Der Eee selber läuft zwar nur mit DDR2 533 Einstellungen, man kann aber natürlich auch immer besseren Speicher einbauen, einen Preisunterschied gibt es in dem Bereich eh nicht mehr.
Als einzigstes Werkzeug ist ein Kreuzschraubendreher nötig. Dieser muss recht fein sein, damit er in die engen Ritzen der kleinen Schräubchen passt. Man sollte auf keinen Fall einen zu großen probieren, sonst werden die Schraubenköpfe sehr schnell ausgeleiert.

Als ersten Schritt nimmt man den Akku raus. Man kommt zwar auch mit eingesetzten Akku überall dran, jedoch stehen dann Teile des Mainboards immer noch unter Spannung und fällt einem z.B. ausversehen eine Schraube in das geöffnete Gehäuse, so könnte ein Kurzschluss verursacht werden. Nun einfach die beiden Schrauben an der Unterseite losdrehen. Die Schrauben muss man auch nicht ganz raus nehmen, sobald sie locker schlackern und aus dem Gewinde geschraubt sind, können sie einfach im Deckel stecken bleiben, dann gehen sie auch nicht verloren.

Sind die Schrauben gelöst, lässt sich auch schon der Deckel hochheben. Macht man das Netbooks zum ersten mal offen, so könnte der etwas fest kleben. Dann mit dem Finger mehrmals an der Kerbe den Deckel hochziehen, bis er sich löst. Auf keinen Fall sollte man mit einem Schraubendreher oder anderen Werkzeug versuchen den Deckel hochzuhebeln, der weiche Kunststoff des Gehäuses würde sonst sofort zerkratzt werden.

Den Deckel nun an die Seite legen und aufpassen, dass die kleinen Schrauben nicht runterfallen und verloren gehen. Im Inneren sieht man nun das WLAN Modul, die Festplatte und den Arbeitsspeicher.

Am Arbeitsspeichermodul sind zwei Federhaken, die das Modul unten halten. Die beiden Haken muss man nun gleichzeitig jeweils nach außen ziehen, damit das Speichermodul freigegeben wird.

Das Speichermodul kann nun mitsamt seiner Halterung nach oben geklapt werden, bei manchen Geräten federt es auch von selbst hoch.

Jetzt kann das Speichermodul einfach rausgezogen werden und das neue Modul reingesetzt werden. Die Richtung ist durch die Einkerbung an der Anschlussseite vorgegeben und kann daher nicht ausversehen vertauscht werden.
Der Rest ist praktisch die selbe Prozedur, nur halt rückwärts; sobald das neue Modul reingeschoben ist, drückt man es sanft herunter, bis es in den beiden Haken einrastet. Geht das zu schwer, dann die Haken mit dem Finger etwas zur Seite drücken.

Den Deckel an der Vorderseite einhängen und vorsichtig herunterdrücken. An der Seite sind noch zwei Rasten, die durch leichten Druck reinspringen sollten. Als letztes die beiden Schrauben wieder festdrehen. Dabei niemals hohe Kraft anwenden, ASUS hat zwar kleine Messinggewindebuchsen mit eingebaut, aber dennoch halten die kleinen Schrauben nicht viel aus. Es reicht völlig aus, wenn man den Schraubendreher mit zwei Fingern anzieht. Bloß keinen Akkuschrauber benutzen, seidens man hat einen speziellen Feinschrauber, wie er auch in den Montagewerken benutzt wird.

Beim nächsten Start wird der 2 GiB Speicher problemlos erkannt und das Netbook ist jetzt auch für aufwendigere Arbeiten gut gerüstet.

Passend zum Wetter hat das KDE Team heute das nächste Update Pack "Cold" für den KDE 4.3 Desktop herausgebracht.
